SALMAN KHAN DOESN’T LIKE KAPIL SHARMA ANYMORE?
Salman Khan latest news, Kapil Sharma is the latest in the long line of people whom Salman Khan has loved and hated. The Salman Khan refused to shoot for Kapil Sharma show to promote Salman Khan new movieTubelight and instead preferred to do an hour long special with Kapil Sharma’s friend-turned-foe Sunil Grover and then to rub salt in Kapil Sharma’s wound Salman Khan went into raptures about Grover’s talent.
One doesn’t know what went wrong between the two. Some say Kapil Sharma kept Salman Khan waiting for hours for the shooting of the Kapil Sharma Show during the promotion of Salman Khan movies Sultan, hence the ire.
However, Salman Khan himself is known to keep crews waiting endlessly, so it can’t be the time factor that’s played villain between the two friends.
Not that Kapil Sharma is perturbed by the silent treatment from Salman Khan. A colleague from his show says, “Kapil Sharma showed no signs of stress or concern over Salman’s boycott of the Kapil Sharma Show. He’s on terrific terms with almost the entire industry. He is okay with whoever chooses not to come on his show.” Kapil can also seek comfort in the fact that he is not the first entertainer from showbiz whom Salman Khan age has fallen out with include Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Himesh Reshammiya, Subhash Ghai… the list is endless.
Salman did catch up with some of the above. So there’s hope for Kapil Sharma. Not the Kapil is holding his breath.
SALMAN KHAN TO COMPENSATE DISTRIBUTORS?
At the recent event, Salman was asked if he was worried about the subdued response to his new release Tubelight. He stared back at the journalist, grinned and the stretched his arms saying, “Do I look worried?”
He went on to explain why the film took a weak opening. “People expected a different film. An Id film with singing and dancing. They can’t see me cry.” He was confident that the movie would do well. But trade experts say the film may lose up to 60 to 65 crore or even higher.
A producer says, “when Salman says he is not worried, he is probably right. His financial liabilities regarding the film have been taken care of, as his films lose nothing even if the movie underperforms. It is the distributors who are likely to suffer.”
So would Salman compensate the distributors? Says the producer “It would be the right thing for Salman to do because the distributors are likely to suffer substantial losses. But it all depends on Salman Khan’s discretion. If he feels he owes it to the distributors, he will.” Perhaps it is time for Salman to show what being human is all about.
