All long, Hebah Patel was rumored to have been cast in 100% Kadhal, the remake of Naga Chaitanya and Tamannaah Bhatia-starrer 100% Love. But now, we have learned that Lavanya Tripathi has been finalized as the female lead of the film starring GV Prakash Kumar. Director MM Chandramouli, who was en route to said, “We wanted someone who looks like Tamannaah did in 2011 when the original came out. We found Lavanya to be ideal – she has that vivacious personality and also complements the hero.”

The actress, he said, has already started on a fitness regimen to lose weight, considering that she will play a student in the film. “The two leads are students and she develops a crush on him. Since he is an intelligent guy, she competes against him in class to win him over and manages to become the topper. This sparks off a contest between them and that lead to drama,” elaborated Chandramouli, on the plot.

A major chunk of the romance drama will be canned in London and about 10per cent will be shot in India. In addition to the lead pair, the film also features Nasser, Livingston,  Ambika and comedians Yogi Babu and Sathish as part of its cast.

Lavanya Tripathi is an Indian model and actress. After working as a model and winning the Miss Uttarakhand title in 2006, she entered the film industry in 2012, starring in the Telugu film Andala Rakshasi.

Lavanya Tripathi was born in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, India and grew up in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.[1] Her father is a lawyer practicing in the high court and civil court and her mother is a retired teacher. She has two elder siblings, one brother, and sister.After completing her schooling from Marshalls School, she moved to Mumbai, where she graduated in Economics from Rishi Dayaram National College.

 

She stated that she “always wanted to be in showbiz” but her father wanted her to complete her education first. She then started modeling, appearing in commercials, while also being part of television shows.She won the title of Miss Uttarakhand in 2006.
